I know writing Google AdWords advertisements can be frustrating, trying to fit all in that tiny box. Especially when you are trying to elicit a purchase and stand out of the crowd. It usually takes some persuasion and pitching to a customer, so how are you supposed to do all that pitching and storytelling in such a tiny space?!

Here are some tips on how to create effective AdWords ads through my learnings and experience that helped me improve my ads’ click-through rate and conversions rates. My tips will act like an A.T.L.A.S. or a map in crafting the art of Google ads. Of course my tips are not the gold standard, but it is a simple set of tips in a fun acronym.

Ready to create some butt kicking ads?! Well, Let’s go!

Answer —The ad should be attracting customers’ eye by solving their problems and fulfilling their needs. Customers are always search up on the internet for answers, it will be the perfect time for your ad to show up.

Timing — Show your ads at the right time. It better to show fresh news at the right time of what customers are looking for. Wrong timing would be showing your ad about sunscreen in the middle of the winter season, are you? The right timing will make your ad so much more relevant

Link —Make sure to display you URL to the landing page of where you want your customer to arrive. Don’t let your customer land on you your home page and make them go search for the answer. Be nice and save them some clicks 🙂

Action —Use words to make them take to action to click your ad. Ex) Buy Now! Only Today! Free delivery! Call Now and Get 50% off!

Specific —Use specific high volume and low competition keywords to target the right people, if is too broad your ad will not show up to your customers. Ex) “shirt” is too broad, instead use “organic cotton shirt”. I suggest using Google’s AdWords Keyword Planner, it has greta analytics and its FREE! 😀
